SABIC P4200RT HDPE Multimodal Resin
SABIC P4200RT is an HDPE with high melt viscosity for extrusion, offering good long – term hydrostatic strength, high heat resistance, and extremely high extraction stability.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured according to the ISO 1183 standard, the density is 0.947 g/cc (0.0342 lb/in³). It is related to the material’s strength and stability for extrusion applications.
- Oxidative Induction Time (OIT): Following the ISO 11357 – 6 standard, at 210 °C (410 °F), the OIT is at least 40 minutes. A long OIT is essential for long – term use in hot – water pipe systems.
- Melt Flow: Tested by the ISO 1133 standard, at 190 °C (374 °F), it’s 0.45 g/10 min under a 5.00 kg load and 9.5 g/10 min under a 21.6 kg load. These values ensure effective shaping during pipe extrusion
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
- Key Features:
- High melt viscosity for extrusion.
- Meets DIN 16833 / ISO 24033 for PE – RT Type II.
