SABIC P4808N HDPE Multimodal Resin
SABIC P4808N is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin with a multimodal molecular weight distribution, specifically designed for pipe extrusion.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured using the ASTM D1505 method, the density is 0.949 g/cc (0.0343 lb/in³). It impacts the material’s mechanical strength and suitability for non – pressure pipe applications.
- Oxidative Induction Time (OIT): Based on the EN 728 standard, when tested at 210 °C (410 °F), the OIT of P4808N is not less than 20 minutes.
- Melt Flow: As per the ISO 1133 standard, at 190 °C (374 °F), the melt flow of P4808N is 0.23 g/10 min at a 5.00 kg load and 6.5 g/10 min at a 21.6 kg load.
