CHIMEI WONDERLOY PC-330K is a high-performance PC/ABS alloy with excellent impact resistance, flowability, heat resistance, and processability.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured in accordance with ISO 1183 using injection-molded samples, the density is 1.07 g/cc (0.0386 lb/in³), offering a lightweight profile for general-purpose applications.
- Melt Flow: Tested per ISO 1133 at 260 °C (500 °F) under a 5 kg (11.0 lb) load, the melt flow rate is 34 cm³/10 min, enabling high-speed injection molding processes.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: PC (Polycarbonate) + ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
- Key Features:
- High flow rate enabling efficient production in injection molding applications for mass production.
- Low odor formulation suitable for indoor and consumer-oriented products, reducing environmental impact.
Applications:
-
Automotive Interior Components:Widely used in automotive interior parts due to its high impact strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability.
- Instrument Panels: The high impact strength (~60 KJ/m² at 23°C) and heat resistance (Vicat softening temperature ~135–145°C) ensure durability and stability in dashboards exposed to sunlight and mechanical stress.
- Glove Boxes and Center Consoles: The material’s toughness and low mold shrinkage (0.4–0.6%) support precise molding for functional and aesthetic components.
- A/C Vents and Trim Panels: The high flowability (melt flow index ~20–30 g/10 min) allows for intricate designs with thin walls, critical for complex vent geometries.
- Door Trims: The combination of impact resistance and electroplatability provides a premium finish for aesthetic interior parts.
-
Consumer Electronics:Extensively used in consumer electronics for casings and enclosures due to its impact resistance, aesthetic appeal, and electroplatability.
- Laptop Housings: The high flowability and low mold shrinkage (0.4–0.6%) enable thin-walled, lightweight designs, while the impact strength (~60 KJ/m²) ensures durability against drops.
- Mobile Device Enclosures and Phone Cases: The material’s toughness and ability to be electroplated provide a premium, drop-resistant finish for smartphones and tablets.
- TV and Printer Housings: The heat resistance (Vicat softening temperature ~135–145°C) ensures performance in devices with internal heat generation, while the aesthetic finish enhances consumer appeal.
- Vacuum Cleaner and Hairdryer Casings: The material’s durability and heat resistance make it suitable for small appliance housings exposed to mechanical and thermal stress.
