BASF Ultraform S2320 003 PRO POM Resin

Ultraform S2320 003 PRO is a polyoxymethylene (POM) acetal copolymer grade from BASF, specifically designed for medical and food-contact applications.

Physical Properties

  • Bulk Density: The bulk density is 0.850 g/cc (0.0307 lb/in³).
  • Density: Measured in accordance with ISO 1183 standard, the density is 1.40 g/cc (0.0506 lb/in³).
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At 23°C and 50% RH, as per ISO 62 standard, the moisture absorption at equilibrium is 0.20 %.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: According to ISO 62 standard, the water absorption at saturation is 0.80 %.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: Measured in accordance with ISO 2577 standard, the linear mold shrinkage, flow is 0.021 cm/cm (0.021 in/in).
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: According to ISO 2577 standard, the linear mold shrinkage, transverse is 0.021 cm/cm (0.021 in/in).
  • Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133 standard, at a temperature of 190 °C (374 °F) under a load of 2.16 kg (4.76 lb), the melt flow rate is 13 g/10 min.
