DUPONT ZYTEL ST801 PA66 Resin
DuPont Zytel ST801 is a super toughened polyamide 66 (PA66) engineered for high impact resistance and ductility in demanding automotive and industrial applications.
Physical Properties
- Density: Evaluated by DAM and ISO 1183 for injection-molded parts; density of this super-toughened PA66 is 1.08 g/cc (0.0390 lb/in³).
- Melt Density: At ≥263 °C (505 °F), melt density is 0.920 g/cc (0.0332 lb/in³), suitable for high-temperature processing.
- Water Absorption: At 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) thickness, water absorption is 6.5%, measured per DAM and ISO 62 guidelines.
- Moisture Absorption: For 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) samples, moisture absorption is 2.00%, following DAM and ISO 62 standards.
- Viscosity Number: The viscosity number is 156 cm³/g (1.56 dl/g), evaluated based on DAM and ISO 307, 1157, 1628.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: Flow direction shrinkage is 0.018 cm/cm (0.018 in/in) per DAM and ISO 294-4, 2577 for injection molding.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: Transverse shrinkage is 0.014 cm/cm (0.014 in/in), determined by DAM and ISO standards.
